Responsibility

It’s funny. I am so worried about how things are going to go with my dad and my family that I am avoiding the thoughts altogether. Instead I am thinking so much about you, and how happy I am that you are responsible and focused on taking care of yourself. I know that when we were dating I placed a lot of emphasis on spending time together, and wanting to be with you, that it seemed to cut into other important things. But I can tell you that today I am so proud of you for going to the gym this morning even though you woke up late… and studying for the GMAT tonight. The fact that you feel this sense of responsibility to take care of your health and to make a life for our future family fills me with a sense of pride in you, but also, to be perfectly honest, relief. I’m so glad to support you in these goals and I have also really been enjoying the way you make me a part of them by filling me in on how you’re thinking about things. Thank you for being the way you are!
